Kylian Mbappe has cast doubt over his long-term future at Paris Saint-Germain after admitting he does not know if the club is the best place for him.
The 22-year-old’s future is up in the air this summer with just one year remaining on his deal at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe is struggling to agree a new deal in the French capital, leading to speculation he could be sold, with Spanish giants Real Madrid still thought to be keen despite the departure of compatriot Zinedine Zidane.

But now the France forward – who will feature for Les Bleus at Euro 2020 – has said that while he feels good at PSG – who lost their Ligue 1 crown to Lille in 2019-20 – he does not yet have the answer to whether it represents the best club for him.
When asked about his immediate future, Mbappe told France Football: ‘I don’t necessarily need to go fast.
‘I have to make the right decision, which is difficult, and give myself every chance to make up my mind.
‘I am in a place where I like myself, where I feel good. But is this the best place for me? I don’t have the answer yet. I know that a project with or without me is not quite the same for the club.

‘But PSG understand my feelings. Probably also because they knows that I will not sneak.
‘Being a great player also proves itself outside the field where you have to know how to do things cleanly and with class.’
His comments come as RMC Sport in France claim Mbappe has made it clear to PSG that he will not be making a decision on his future until after Euro 2020.
The same outlet claim the striker has never sought control over the club’s transfer policy, but wants assurances they will continue to build a competitive squad over the coming years.
But a move to Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti has been championed by none other than his France strike partner Karim Benzema.

‘If he could come to Madrid, that would be ideal,’ Benzema said earlier this month according to BFMTV.
‘All the great players want to come to Real Madrid one day so I hope that will be done quickly, that’s if he wants to leave PSG who are also a good team.’
Benzema was Real’s best player last season but, at 33, president Florentino Perez reportedly wants to find a long-term replacement for the striker and is desperate to secure Mbappe’s signature.
According to reports from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in early June, Mbappe is ‘a gift’ for Ancelotti and Real will press on with a move for the 22-year-old in the hope they can get him to the Bernabeu for a modest fee.

Mbappe’s preparations for Euro 2020 have not gone totally smoothly following a rift with fellow striker Olivier Giroud.
The Chelsea striker appeared to criticise Mbappe after airing his frustrations over the number of passes he received from his team-mates as France beat Bulgaria in a friendly ahead of the tournament.
Mbappe was reportedly left feeling unconvinced by Giroud’s subsequent apology and was so livid with the comments that he wanted to give a press conference on the matter, but this was rejected by France manager Didier Deschamps.
RMC Sport reported Giroud attempted to clear things up with Mbappe in Thursday’s training session but the PSG star remained hostile.
