Disney Moves ‘Doctor Strange 2’, ‘Thor 4’, And Various Other Marvel Films

Disney is shifting around various Marvel release dates, including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Disney announced earlier today that multiple films in their upcoming slate would either be delayed or taken off their schedule. Of the projects delayed, a handful of films are from Marvel Studios. The delays are to reportedly allow production teams more time to finish up their final products and to mitigate competition.

The first major change in release is Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The first was originally set to hit March 25, kicking off 2022’s Marvel slate. Instead, the Benedict Cumberbatch sequel will now hit cinemas on May 6, kicking off the summer movie season.
