At the time of this writing, Gal Gadot’s latest film — Netflix’s “Red Notice” — is rapidly approaching its streaming premiere on November 12, 2021. As a part of its press tour, the actress stopped by the Collider Interviews YouTube channel to talk about it and some of her other work. Near the end of the interview, “Cleopatra” came up in conversation, and when asked if it was still on the table, Gadot gave an exciting and straightforward answer: “‘Cleopatra’ is definitely still happening.”
To further drive that point home, Gal Gadot revealed that the script is complete, going as far as to call it “amazing.” Before the video wrapped up, she also mentioned that she’s more than ready to “celebrate” and bring the fascinating story of Cleopatra to the big screen. However, when Patty Jenkins’ “Cleopatra” will debut, who will join Gadot on the cast list, and what the production will entail overall remains a mystery. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about it in the coming months, but rest assured, it’s at least still on its way.
