Harry Maguire wasted little time getting out on the golf course after helping Manchester United into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
United’s skipper enjoyed a round in Cheshire on Wednesday morning just hours after the team’s 2-0 win over Villarreal in Spain.
Maguire will have the weekend off as he is suspended for United’s Premier League trip to Chelsea after his sending off in the 4-1 defeat at Watford that led to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking.

United captain Maguire went out in chilly conditions after Tuesday night’s 2-0 win at Villarreal
Interim manager Michael Carrick oversaw a passable performance against Villarreal as late goals by Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho booked United’s passage to the last-16.
But prior to that, United were indebted to goalkeeper David de Gea for a string of crucial saves to keep them in the match with weaknesses evident in defence and midfield.
Things won’t get any easier for Carrick and United with Premier League leaders Chelsea presenting a formidable challenge at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
And they will have to play them without first choice centre-back Maguire, with Eric Bailly likely to slip in alongside Victor Lindelof in the head of their defence.
Maguire and most of his team-mates have struggled for form in recent weeks with a run of five losses from seven Premier League fixtures ultimately costing Solskjaer his job.

It wasn’t United’s most convincing performance but they managed to overcome Villarreal
United cut a lowly eighth in the table and are cut adrift from rivals Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool, having been outclassed by the latter two in recent weeks.
But they are assured of first place in their Champions League group and, theoretically, an easier draw in the first knockout round.
Maguire responded to criticism when he scored for England in their World Cup qualifier against Albania by putting his fingers in his ears as he celebrated.
He followed that up by opening the scoring in England’s 10-0 victory over San Marino a few nights later.

As United’s pursuit of both interim and permanent replacements for Solskjaer continues, they will hope to get their season back on track with a set of less daunting fixtures after their visit to Chelsea.
They host Arsenal in midweek before games with Crystal Palace, Young Boys, Norwich, Brentford, Brighton, Newcastle, Burnley and Wolves over the festive period.
Meanwhile, United have seen an initial approach for Mauricio Pochettino rejected by Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
