Edinson Cavani wants to leave Manchester United at the end of the season and join Barcelona.
That’s according to The Times, who say that the 34-year-old Uruguay forward has a long-held desire to play for Barcelona before the end of his career.
Cavani’s Old Trafford deal expires at the end of the season, although The Times adds that he is curious to see how things develop for United under Ralf Rangnick’s guidance.

Cavani has been hindered by a tendon injury in recent weeks and has missed United’s last three matches.
He will be absent for Thursday’s encounter against Arsenal but Michael Carrick confirmed this week the striker is ‘back on the grass’ and ‘working outside with strength and conditioning coaches’.
Cavani has scored one goal in eight appearances so far this season.
Should he chose to leave United at the end of the campaign, he will be available as a free transfer for cash-strapped Barcelona.

Michael Carrick will be in charge for United’s match against Arsenal on Thursday night as Rangnick’s visa has only just been approved.
The 63-year-old German will step aside as United manager at the end of the season and work in a consultancy role at the club.
United are 10th in the Premier League but can go three points off the top four with a win over Arsenal.
