LA Clippers’ Paul George (right elbow) ruled out against Celtics

LA Clippers star swingman Paul George was ruled out before Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics with a right elbow contusion.

George was originally listed as questionable and warmed up before the game before he was ruled out.

Veteran forward Nicolas Batum was put in the starting lineup in place of George after missing nine straight games. Batum was in health and safety protocols before ramping back up with his conditioning to play again.

With Kawhi Leonard (knee) out indefinitely, George has led the Clippers with 25 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season. He had 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in 39 minutes during a 102-90 win over the Blazers on Monday.
